Mangetout

Picking Mangetout so fresh and tender

Amazing

Planted some more radish…
The trees planted seem to have taken well.
We were invited to the LG committee which is on 3rd July and were told that
the committee would like us to attend if we can: they like new members to come along.

Sunday 3rd July

LG Committee meeting.
Main points of discussion:-
  • Rubbish disposal – being dumped in the wrong place
  • No vacant gardens - now all taken
  • Trees are becoming a problem.
  • People planting tall fruit trees: when they leave, the trees become unmanageable. Dwarf  trees are fine and we have only planted 3 dwarf trees.
  • Unkempt gardens are an issue – the committee will talk to those individuals.
  • Hedge cutters to be bought to keep the hedges tidy.
  •  Working party to have a tidy-up 25th July 10am -12noon

Spent some time on LG. Mangetout over-grown as the space they were planted in is quite small.

Picked some more raspberries and tied them on to canes for support.
Weeded the areas.
Picked 3 green and 4 yellow courgettes.
Gave 2 of each to our LG friend and she gave us some rhubarb and strawberries.
